Elm Grove Apartments

The Elm Grove apartments at 11 Grove Street is a complex of two buildings, making up 40 garden-style units, designated for senior citizens and physically challenged or disabled people. This property was constructed in 1978 with funds from the Town of West Hartford and the State of Connecticut Department of Housing. Occupancy began in 1979.
The Elm Grove residents gather in the community room for social activities such as bingo, card games, movies, cookouts, and parties. The complex also has on-site parking, laundry facilities, and a garden.
The site has a full-time custodian. Space has been set aside for the Resident Services Coordinator. The Resident Services Coordinator is onsite three days per week and provides:
- Information and referrals,
- Assistance in linking clients to programs, and
- Coordinates onsite resident activities.
