The West Hartford Housing Authority’s programs are administered in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the State of Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development and Connecticut Housing Finance Authority.

Mission Statement

The mission of the West Hartford Housing Authority is:

• To create and preserve housing opportunities in the greater West Hartford region
• To promote a viable and dynamic community through its leadership and collaborative activities
• To manage quality housing and provide services that help residents to maintain their independence

Vision Statement

• Foster sustainable connections
• Enhance our internal organizational capacity and financial independence
• Expand housing options for the community’s workforce and residents of all ages
• Support and participate in efforts that address regional housing needs

A Board of Commissioners establishes the policies and mission of the West Hartford Housing Authority.
